A Small Team With Big Experience
It takes more than one person to deliver a battlefield tour that’s seamless, personal and unforgettable. While I (Andrew) lead every tour from the front, I’m supported by a small, trusted team who make the rest of the operation tick—before, during and after your journey.
About Andrew White
I retired from the Royal Air Force in 2011 after 26 years of service, having spent my career in the Intelligence Branch. That saw me deployed to Northern Ireland, Bosnia and the Iraq invasion in 2003—alongside operations with allied forces, special forces and government intelligence agencies. I left the RAF at the rank of Wing Commander, ready to swap classified briefings for battle maps and muddy boots.
My lifelong fascination with military history took hold in Normandy, standing on the same beaches where Allied troops landed on D-Day. Since then, I’ve spent over two decades guiding groups across the battlefields of Europe—charting the trenches of the Western Front, the ruins of Berlin, the Nazi rally grounds of Nuremberg and the airfields of RAF Bomber Command and the US 8th Air Force. I also lead tours of Battle of Britain sites and, for those seeking deeper understanding, the former concentration camp at Sachsenhausen, where I am a fully certified and authorised guide.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding a wide range of groups—school students, history enthusiasts, military personnel, interested families and veterans. Whether you're 16 or 60, on your first battlefield tour or your fifth, I believe history is best understood where it happened.
I’m a founder member of the International Guild of Battlefield Guides and proudly hold Badge No. 37—one of the earliest awarded. In 2023, I returned to formal study with a research Master’s degree in Military History at the University of Buckingham. My dissertation focused on RAF aircrew interned in neutral countries during the Second World War—an overlooked but fascinating subject.
Put simply: I bring the past to life through first-hand experience, storytelling, and a genuine passion for making military history relevant, personal, and unforgettable.
