Luxury Private Guided Battlefield Tours
Tailored. Immersive. Led by Experience.

Walk the Ground Where History Was Made
There’s no substitute for standing on the very ground where history turned. Whether you’re tracing a relative’s wartime footsteps, diving deeper into a favourite campaign, or simply fascinated by military history done properly—this is your chance to explore it in a way that’s personal, insightful and entirely bespoke.
Each tour is personally guided by me, Andrew White—a retired RAF Wing Commander with 26 years of service. For larger groups, I’m joined by trusted colleagues, all ex-military, each bringing their own service experience and historical insight to the battlefield.
I’m proud to work with a wide range of international clients—including the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, for whom I guide custom battlefield tours across the UK. Whether you're planning a family pilgrimage, a reunion or a deep dive into a specific campaign, you’ll be in experienced hands.

A Luxury Travel Experience, Not Just a Tour
You’ll get the full history—without sacrificing comfort.
Our in-house travel consultant, Rachel, works closely with you to design every detail of your journey. From hand-picked boutique luxury hotels and seamless private transfers to exclusive dining recommendations, you’ll travel in style while immersing yourself in the story of the Second World War, the Great War, or even the Cold War.
Prefer a slow-paced itinerary with time to reflect? Need help navigating family ancestry linked to a campaign or regiment? Planning something special for a significant anniversary or reunion? You tell us what you want to see, and Rachel will make it happen—with care, accuracy and welcome creature comforts along the way.
What We Can Explore Together
What You Can Expect
Have a Personal Connection? We’ll Honour It.
Your tour can include any combination of:
• WWII Campaign Sites: Normandy, Bastogne, Arnhem, Monte Cassino, Berlin
• WWI Western Front: Ypres, the Somme, Passchendaele, Vimy Ridge
• Air Power Focus: RAF Bomber Command airfields, US 8th Air Force bases, Battle of Britain locations
• Cold War & Nazi Germany Sites: Berlin, Nuremberg, Munich
• Commemorative Visits: Cemeteries, memorials, family graves, veteran remembrance trips
Every site is brought to life through military precision, storytelling and lived insight.
• Personally guided by Andrew White (ex-RAF Wing Commander)
• All guides are former RAF officers
• Trusted tour partner of the National WWII Museum (New Orleans) for UK-based WWII and espionage experiences
• Fully tailored itinerary based on your historical interests
• Luxury travel arrangements by Rachel
• Private transport & boutique hotels
• Optional pre-visit research for ancestry or veteran connection
• Ideal for small groups, families, veterans, alumni groups and clubs
Many of our clients come with a name, a photo or a story passed down through generations. If you’re visiting a battlefield or airfield connected to your family, we’ll help you uncover their history in full.
We offer a dedicated research service—investigating unit records, operations, locations and service details—so you can stand in the place your relative once did and understand their experience in context. It’s deeply personal. Often moving. And always worth it.
Why Choose This Over a Standard Battlefield Tour?
Because you're not looking for a coach tour with a script. You're looking for context, quality and a connection that lasts. With us, you don’t just visit the past—you understand it.

"I want to thank you for your time, historical knowledge, enthusiasm and patience (I will always be in your debt for driving back to get my phone) for the best "tour" ever. What really makes me emotional is the care you took to include my dad as if he were still there. That is so precious and dear to my heart. I will never forget how you made that so special.
Because of your generosity I would like to send you a small gift to thank you for making my dad alive, young, cheeky, and with a smile on his face as his B-17 is no longer earthbound.
When my friends ask me the best part of my tour, I smile and with teary eyes I always say "My day at Grafton Underwood with Andrew, the best guide ever. My dad was there to walk along by my side." And that is priceless.”
